Waterfowl.

さえまさる夜半とやわきて思ふらんともねの鴛鴦のさはぐ羽風を

yowa to ya wakite
omouran
tomone no oshi no
sawagu ha kaze o
That ’tis most exceeding cold
Tonight, do they grasp
I wonder?
Sleeping together, the mandarin ducks
So noisy, buffet me with zephyrs from their wings.
