Poems on the beginning of spring

kokonoe no
kumoi ni haru zo
ōuchiyama ni
kasumi tanabiku
In ninefold layers of
Cloud does springtime
Seem to rise;
Across Ōuchi Mountain[i]
Trails haze.

A kuzushiji version of the poem's text.
