Saying I was passing by the sea.

ながめやる心もたへぬわたのはら八重のしほぢの秋の夕暮

nagameyaru
kokoro mo taenu
wata no hara
yae no shioji no
aki no yūgure

Gazing out,
My feelings fail to last,
Across the wide seascape
Eightfold are the tideways
On an autumn evening…
