たきみれどけぶりもたゝず水しあればいかなる熾に水つかるらむ
taki miredo keburi mo tatazu midu si areba ika naru oki ni midu tukaruramu |
To strike a spark I’ve tried, yet There’s not a wisp of smoke, By dint of the waters; What embers might lie Beneath the spume? |
