Sanekata Shū 294

When His Majesty went to view the plum blossom at the Ninna Temple, and was presented with poems by the gentlemen of the court.

散らず待つ花の心も見えぬらしけふよりのちは吹かば吹け風

tirazu matu
Fana no kokoro mo
mienurasi
keFu yori noti Fa
Fukaba Fuke kaze
Unscattered and awaiting
These blossoms’ spirit
Have we seen, it seems;
From this day forth
If you are to blow, then do it, O Wind!
