としかはるのはなほことになりぬらししかのこまだらにゆきもけにけり

toshi kawaru
no wa na
ho koto ni
narinurashi
shika no ko madara ni
yuki mo kenikeri
With the changing of the year,
The meadows, particularly, more different
Seem to do be—
Dappled as a fawn,
The snow, too, vanishes away.
