夜とともにもしほたれつつすまのあまの心づからや袖ぬらすらん

yo to tomo ni
moshio taretsutsu
suma no ama no
kokorozukara ya
sode nurasuran

Every night
Wringing brine from seaweed
Do the seafolk at Suma
From their own hearts
Drench their sleeves, I wonder?
