さむしろに衣かたしきこよひもや恋しき人にあはでのみ寝む

samushiro ni
koromo katashiki
koyoi mo ya
koishiki hito ni
awade nomi nemu

Beneath the flimsy cover
Of a single spread garment
Will I once again, tonight
Without my beloved’s
Company simply sleep?
