Reaped Rice Fields 稂田

谷ふかみそこの狭井にいほりしてまれにぞたてるひつちだのいね

tani fukami
soko no semai ni
iorishite
mare ni zo tateru
hitsuchida no ine

Deep within the valley,
In the shallow waters there
Does dwell
The odd upright
Ricelet in the stubble.
