Scented Grasses 草香

春よりはもえいでしかと草の香かは秋風ににほふなりけり

haru yori wa
moe’ideshika to
kusa no kō
kawa akikaze ni
niou narikeri

Ever since spring
Has it burst into bud, I think –
The grasses’ scent:
Along the river the autumn breeze
Spreads fragrance.
