さみだれにこひすといふなはたたばたて君にあふちの花し咲きなば

samidare ni
koisu to iu na wa
tataba tate
kimi ni ōchi no
hana shi sakinaba

In the gentle summer rain
That I love you should word
Arise, then let it!
For I would meet you while the chinaberry
Blossom was flowering…
