SZS IV: 233

Composed on silver-grass at the Poetry Competition in the Garden of the Empress Ikuhōmon’in.

ものごとに秋のけしきはしるけれどもまづ身にしむはおぎのうは風

monogoto ni
aki no kesiki Fa
sirukeredomo
madu mi ni simu Fa
ogi no uFakaze
In many things
Is the feel of autumn
Made known, yet
Most affecting of all
Is the wind o’er the silver-grass.

Minister of the Treasury Yukimune.
