Composed on plum blossoms on a spring night.
春の夜の闇はあやなし梅花色こそ見えね香やはかくるる
Faru no yo no yami Fa ayanasi ume no Fana iro koso miene ka ya Fa kakururu | On nights in springtime How strange the darkness is! The plum blossoms’ Hues do go unseen, but Can their scent still be concealed? |

I’m working through parsing this poem to try making my own translation. Based on the information from Weblio Kobun, would it be reasonable to interpret the sense of あやなし as “illogical” or “absurd” ?

Both of those are a bit over-emphatic, I think. The sense in this context, put colloquially, is more ‘Isn’t it funny that…’, where ‘funny’ is funny peculiar not funny ha-ha.
Hope that helps!
That’s quite helpful, thank you.
