朝にありてわが代はつきじ天の戸や出づる月日のてらむかぎりは

asa ni arite
wa ga yo wa tsukji
ama no to ya
izuru tsukihi no
teramu kagiri wa

In the mornings
My reign will never end, I feel,
While from the gates of Heaven
The sun and moon emerge
To shine!
