秋ふかみつゆさむきよのきりぎりすただいたづらに音をのみぞ鳴く

tsuyu samuki yo no
kirigirisu
tada itazura ni
ne o nomi zo naku

In the depths of autumn
On a night of chilly dew
The crickets
To no end at all
Do raise their plaintive cries…
