A reference to Fujiwara no Tametō 藤原為任 (?-1045), a son of Sanekata’s uncle and guardian, Fujiwara no Naritoki. He was made Minor Controller on the 11th day of the First Month 995 and promoted to Middle Controller in 999, so this poem must have been written between these dates.
