Emperor Kazan 花山 held the position of Crown Prince for sixteen years, from the 13th day of the Eighth Month 969 to the 27th day of the Eighth Month 984. During this time the Kōshin Rite took place in the Ninth Month only in 983, probably on the 8th day.
