ひとりぬる寝覚にきくぞあはれなるふしみの里に衣うつこゑ

nezame ni kiku zo
aware naru
fushimi no sato ni
koromo utsu koe

Sleeping solo
On waking do I hear
Most keenly,
In the estate of Fushimi
The sound of fulling clothes…
