Monkeys 猿

あさまだきならのかれ葉をそよそよと外山をいでてましら鳴くなり

nara no kareba o
soyosoyo to
toyama o idete
mashira nakunari

‘Tis not yet morn, but
The withered oak leaves
Rustle, as
To the distant mountains go
The monkeys hooting.
