The Princess in the Fishing Pavillion

The Princess in the Fishing Pavillion, turidono no miko 釣殿内親王 (d. 925), was a daughter of Emperor Kôkô 光孝 (830-887; r. 884-887), and elder sister of Emperor Uda 宇多 (867-931; r. 887-897). She became one of Yôzei’s consorts, and it is clear from this poem that he had feelings for her.
