It is not known exactly to what this refers. Ise no Taifu’s daughter, who is only known to us as the Chikuzen Wet-Nurse (Chikuzen no Menoto), was, however, a lady-in-waiting to Go-Sanjô and there is some speculation that this is a poem thanking him for taking her into his service.
