Warbler

The uguFisu or ‘bush warbler’ was one of the birds especially associated with Spring in Old Japan and still is today. So much so that among its numerous other names are harudori ‘spring bird’, harutsukedori ‘spring announcing bird’ and hanamidori ‘blossom viewing bird’. Its song is considered to be particularly beautiful.
