Might it be the autumn wind that
Has raised the waves upon
The River of Heaven?
There’s no space to pass for
The moon, flowing by…

天の川扇の風に雲晴れて空澄みわたる鵲の橋

Upon the River of Heaven,
The breeze of her fan
Clears the clouds, and
Soaring ‘cross the skies goes
A bridge of magpies.

Is this fan’s breeze:
I wonder, should I lend it you more?
