A warbler in the rain.

鶯のはるさめざめとなきゐたるたけのしづくやなみだなるらん

uguisu no
harusamezame to
naki’itaru
take no shizuku ya
namida naruran
A warbler
In a spring shower lets fall
His cries:
Are the droplets on the bamboo
His tears, perhaps?[i]
