Composed on examining his own heart.

Darkness has lifted and
In the sky that is my heart
Dwells the moon–
To the western mountains’ edge
It does, perhaps, draw near.

How clear,
From the eagles’ lofty peak
Through the clouds
A gentle light upon
The forest of Tsukiyomi.
